Nowhere in Particular
One of the first games I ever played was subLOGIC’s Flight Simulator on my TRS-80, an eight-by-eight grid standing in for a runway and my imagination doing the rest of the work. I got hooked on flight sims that day and never really got unhooked. I now own every Microsoft Flight Simulator release, and I still can’t land a plane to save my life. I don’t care. It was never about landing.
Nowhere in Particular is that same instinct, decades later and built by me instead of just played by me: take off, discover landmarks, drop a parachute jump, and fly wherever the wind and your own curiosity take you. There’s a logbook, a map, full flight instruments, and nowhere in particular you’re actually supposed to be going.
If you’re looking for the objective, there isn’t one. Just altitude, and the view.
