Windows 95
Windows 95 rebuilds the operating system that introduced most of us to the Start button, in your browser, complete with Minesweeper and a period-correct Internet Explorer. Boot it up and the whole desktop comes back exactly the way you left it in 1998, right down to the sound it used to make.
This is nostalgia with no purpose beyond nostalgia, and I’ve stopped apologizing for that. Some things deserve to exist purely because they made you feel something once.
